News - Nolte launch new Kitchen Planner App Archive

Tuesday, October 23rd 2012

As announced along the launch of the new website the Nolte Kitchen Planner is now also available as iPad app. The 3DConfigurator, currently in German and with English in preparation, can be downloaded from iTunes and the App Store for free. Special feature: By shaking the iPad the user gets to see ever new planning suggestions as a means of inspiration and presenting an easy access to the complex field of kitchen planning.

Shaking the iPad is an alternative to using the dice symbol in the menu bar. An algorithm keeps suggesting new designs for different room layouts. Once the suggestion fits the requirements of the user it can be used as a basis for further, more detailed planning. Alternatively, users can use the approach via detailed planning straight away.

With the configurator the kitchen can be adjusted to fit the exact measurements of a room. Electrical and water connections, windows and doors, individual units of the user’s choice – all these can be added to the design. Colours of fronts, worktops and panels, walls and floor can also be changed and handle variants can be chosen, too. Each layout is displayed as a “walk-in” 3D-image the user is able move in freely through gestures. Product highlights in the design are linked to demo videos. Each kitchen plan can be adjusted to match the individual living situation and is an ideal basis for the subsequent visit to the specialist dealer.

The layouts can be saved for further editing and also be exported as PDF and sent via email. The iPad app demands iOS 4.0 or higher and has a size of 171MB. A version for Android systems is currently in preparation. The online version of the 3D-configurator will continue to be available under www.nolte-kitchens.com for those without iPad. This offers the same range of functionality – minus the shaking option.
