News - Magi-Cut present Modular Version 9 at W12 Archive
Monday, October 1st 2012
At W12 Magi-Cut Software will present Magi-Cut Modular Version 9, a software package which has been developed over the last thirty years and comprehensively handles the optimising and production requirements associated with medium and large woodworking machines such as CNC pressure beam saws and CNC nesting routers.
For the first time Magi-Cut Software will also be showing their Express optimiser. This low cost entry level package is ideally suited to the requirements of woodworking companies cutting sheets of material with a table saw. The Express package is available on a free 30 day trial, and allows the user to enter a job comprising a list of part sizes to be cut, a choice of sheet sizes to be used, the saw blade thickness, grain direction if applicable, and other basic settings such as board trims. From this information Express will calculate the most efficient cutting patterns and print out fully labelled drawings with cutting instructions for the saw operator. Visitors to W12 are invited to bring along a sample job or cutting list, and put Express through its paces.
Magi-Cut Software are in hall 6 Working with Design stand A122 – adjacent to ArtiCAD and EQ Software, and will be demonstrating the interface between Magi-Cut and the design and business management software from ArtiCad and EQ Software respectively. Visitors to the Homag stand in hall 7/8 W12Working with Wood will be able to see Magi-Cut demonstrated and linked online to the Holzma beam saw.
