News - KBB 2012 Exceeds All Expectations For Nolte Archive

Tuesday, March 20th 2012

It was for the first time that Nolte Küchen, Germany’s second largest kitchen brand, had their own stand at kbb Birmingham. Having started to supply to UK customers on a direct basis only comparatively recently given that the company has been around for more than 50 years, kbb presented a great opportunity to showcase a cross section of the current ranges to a trade audience and to familiarise them with the offers and options.

The large stand with eight displays had all the trend colours, different finishes and doors at various price groups. It was very well-frequented throughout the four days of the exhibition. The Chalet Oak décoralong with the new colour coordinated carcase launched on the occasion proved to be a great success.

Bob Marsden, UK Country Manager for retail, is overwhelmed by the outcome: "It's hard to see how kbb could have gone much better for Nolte. Before the show I had an idea of what I thought would be a good result for us over the four days, and we eclipsed that at the end of day 1!The comments from visitors to the stand were unanimously positive and the number of qualified leads that we took for both retail and contract potential customers will keep us very busy for the next few months. All in all, a resounding success which is starting to bear fruit already.”

Karen Ferguson, UK Country Manager with a focus on contract business agrees: “We were very pleasantly surprised by the quantity and quality of enquiries received during the exhibition. It is encouraging that so many house builders are experiencing a positive shift in the housing market so far this year and with a demand for a branded quality product our stand was very well received by all.

Our product remains true to its core principles of a made in Germany product with an eye for designer touches and at a price point that makes it the best value for money product on the market.“

Particularly well received were the island design featuring lacquer front NOVA LACK in trend colour High-gloss Sahara with convex doors and the two MANHATTAN displays. One of them showed warm wood décor Chalet Oak now also available as one of 17 co-ordinating carcase décors. The fact that this premium finish is available with a door from price group 1 generally caused positive surprise and is proof of how Nolte Küchen like to pay attention to quality and detail throughout the ranges The stand itself was appreciated for its elaborate layout and use of display space.

Apart from showcasing eight very different kitchens it was also an example of how direct retail partners benefit with their own showroom design. Support from Nolte Küchen’s inhouse design team is part of the package for dealers. From visitors’ responses, both product and service were recognised.

Richard Pedgrift, Export Operations Manager with Nolte Küchen, sums it all up: "To me this was certainly the best quality kbb exhibition for some years, the European influence now starting to show through with the way the exhibition looks and feels. I’m very happy with our stand in all respects - quality, aesthetics, product mix and detail, level of enquiries and the support from the organisers. This is Nolte Küchen's first UK exhibition in its own right and the response from both the retail and contract visitors was excellent. We are now busy following up the enquiries and are looking forward to some very positive results in the coming weeks."
