VOLA was designed in 1968 by Danish architect Arne Jacobsen who is recognized the world over for outstanding architecture and design. VOLA continues to introduce new award-winning designs like a new range of free-standing mixers and showers and a new towel warmer concept that received the 2009 GOOD DESIGN Award presented by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and has been nominated for the German DESIGNPREIS 2011. VOLA has just launched the Round Series of paper tissue dispenser  and waste bins and that  has already received 4 prizes at the PlusXAward 2011 and received the 2011 GOOD DESIGN Award. The VOLA taps are produced in Denmark according the green certification ISO 14001.
